Coach Marty Dello

Marty Dello is currently the Varsity Boy’s Head Coach at Rochelle Zell Jewish High School (formerly Chicagoland Jewish) in Deerfield, Illinois. As Coach, the Tigers have won two IHSA Regional Titles and have advanced further than any other Jewish High School in the history of the state of Illinois. Coach Dello was selected IBCA Coach of the Year (District 4) in 2012-13 and 2013-14.  He was also selected Chicagoland Prep Conference Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2017.  His team won a National Championship at the Cooper National Invitational in Memphis, TN and he was selected National Coach of the Year from Jewish Hoops America. In 2012-13 his team finished the #2 rated team in the country. Dello has experienced success every step along the way. Coach Dello’s previous stops include Barrington High School, Crystal Lake South High School, Bellevue University, Doane College, and Northwest Missouri State University. His coaching highlights include but are not limited to: IHSA Regional Championships (Chicagoland Jewish High School 2012-2013 & 2013- 2014, Barrington High School 2003-2004, Crystal Lake South High School 2001-2002), Conference Coach of the Year (Bellevue University 1998-1999), Conference and Tournament Champions (MCAC Conference), NAIA National Qualifier (Top 32 teams in the country), and Sears National Coach of the Year (District 9).

Coach Kent Jones

Kent “Deek” Jones has been involved in developing basketball players of all ages and skills in the McHenry county area for the past 14 years and has worked alongside some of the area’s best coaches.  Coach Jones played for a State runner up team as well as a State Championship team while he was in High School. After High School he went on to play two years for Mount St. Clare College where as a freshman he was voted captain by his teammates. Deek is a well-respected member and leader in the McHenry county and Northern Illinois area.  Deek has been working very closely with the Woodstock North Girls Feeder program for the past 8 years. Coach Jones has worked for some of the area’s top travel teams and has a philosophy that he swears by; it is simple but effective, PLAY BASKETBALL! One thing that Deek knows is basketball and he is honored to have the opportunity to share that philosophy and passion with all of the area’s players.


Coach Randy Pompa

Lifezone360 Basketball is excited to have Coach Randy Pompa join our coaching staff. As a lifelong resident in the Elgin area, Coach Pompa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program. Coach Pompa played at Elgin High School where he was an Honorable Mention Upstate Eight All Conference player. He led his team in rebounding and was a true workhorse which always led by example. Coach Pompa went on to play at Elgin Community College where he had a career high 30 point game. After his playing days, Coach Pompa decided to give back to the great game of basketball. He started coaching in the Elgin Maroon program & working with the varsity program. Coach Pompa is known for his basketball knowledge and his ability to teach the game. He is also known as a developer of players as he has coached many players that have gone on to play in college.

Coach Pompa has played or coached with three legendary coaches that are in the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Coach Pompa is married to his wife Meredith and has two children. His daughter Teagan is playing basketball at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE and daughter Rylee is currently a volleyball player at South Elgin High School.


Coach Al Mendiola

Coach Mendiola is no stranger to the club basketball scene.  He has been a coach in the Fox Valley area for 10 years.  Having been the Girls Director for another club, Coach Mendiola is excited to work with the Lifezone360 Woodstock location.  Coach M started coaching in the Woodstock Girls Feeder Program and worked his way to the varsity assistant.  He is a tireless worker that puts in countless hours teaching the skills of basketball.  He is excited for the opportunity to work with McHenry County players.  Coach M and his partner Melissa have a 18 month old son named Graeyson who is already working on his jump shot.
